a still creativity

I turned off my computer this weekend. and it was WONDERFUL. :)

I suppose this was largely possible because my phone got smart a few weeks ago, so emails and messages were still happening, but no computer. And letting my mind go still (and choosing not to glue myself to the next project) was a refreshing experience. I suppose I thought that if I allowed this to happen then creative buds in my mind wouldn't bloom, but instead they blossomed into something refreshing. And I have decided that I like the this stillness in creativity. because my mind can breathe and be inspired all at the same time.

spur-of-the-moment travels

In a spur-of-the-moment decision last Thursday, Isaac and I booked a hotel in Dallas, TX. And normally last minute decisions aren't my favorite thing, but this girl will do a lot to squeeze in a bit of travel. So we headed out of Missouri at 9pm Friday and arrived at our hotel at 6am on Saturday. If you want to know what driving in the middle of the night is like, you should totally talk to Isaac because I was asleep the whole time. Thank you husband.

Speaking of thanking my husband, he took the images below during our stay in Texas and they will be featured on my website this Friday! Yes, you heard me right! My new website will go live this Friday. and I am sooooooooooo excited!!
