{happy} Easter!

Oh, the joy that fills my heart ~ celebrate our risen King! I am so blessed to be surrounded by friends and family. It is my desire to bring God the glory in everything that I do. Everything I have is His to do with as He pleases. Not to us, but to His name be the glory!!!

We celebrated Easter with both of our families and it was a blast. I always savor the time that I have with family...so many memories and so many laughs. I am so blessed. Of course I felt the need to snap away some pictures to document our special time together :) just for you!

Jaelyn just got her class ring. I started out a lot closer for this shot, but then it occurred to me that what made the ring stand out was the girl wearing it. My sisters, and my mom, are covered with beauty-inside and out.
and the look complete with a wristband reminding Jae what God says when He looks at her, "beautiful."

Gorgeous.

Jenna and I :)

My sweet mother took this picture for us!
and Ji and I :)

NOTHING is every boring with my sisters and I do mean nothing. Their easter egg designs were no exception. Smile.
The easter egg on the far right remind me of Mater from cars.

I snapped some pictures of Jaelyn's artwork. she is quite talented.

a special moment between a mother and her daughter.

my parents are amazing and I love them like crazy. Beautiful mom and a handsome dad, I think.

and the whole bunch!

more special moments.
and some sassy looks :)
and to finish it off, we had an AMAZING dinner.

an Easter Celebration

A week ago Isaac and I went to an Easter Musical at church and we were blessed to say the least. These musicians are extremely talented and spend a lot of time preparing for these special events at church. Thank you to everyone who participated in this great musical! ~1 Thessalonians 1:3

Hannah + Michael

Michael and Hannah are just a blast to be around. I told them to relax and be themselves and they were just perfect, just perfect. They are comfortable and silly and fun. I am honored to photograph the love they share and freeze memories that will last a lifetime. They are so unique, so driven, and so kind. We love them, we really do.

look at the way he holds her...soooooooooo cute.

and Hannah, you are gorgeous-inside and out!

precious.

I believe I was saying something like "stunning" when I snapped this one.

I wanted to do a laying down picture with these two and Hannah was up for it. I think she looks amaZING.

star + {bucks}

Isaac and I have a couples shoot in springfield later today (so excited!!), but we had to arrive earlier than either of us would have liked because of some silly responsibilities (like excelling academically and such). On the way up here I realized there was no way I was going to make it through the day unless I had some Starbucks-a java chip frappuccino to be exact. Isaac felt the need to humor me...I like him.

I would also like to add that I like their free music. To be honest, I have never downloaded any songs but just knowing that I can makes me pretty excited.

Katie + Collin {SLIDESHOW}

I had such a great time shooting Katie and Collin a couple of weeks ago. Here is a little slideshow that documents our time together.

jianna + spring = pictures

She brought two outfits, a glitter band, a flower, a cowgirl hat, a burger, and sunglasses. She was ready for her photo shoot.

We started driving down the road and Jianna had a thousand stories to tell me. Most of them could be summed up with "mom shops for a long time." I suppose there was a recent adventure into Christopher Banks. I think what Jianna meant to say was that my mom knows how to shop. She can find exactly what you need. Exactly. on sale!

Jianna is just fun to be around. She is so full of energy and love...for everyone. Special, special girl.

For this shot I pulled Jianna's hair up a little for a "poof" on the top of her head. She asked me what I was doing and I told her I was giving her hair some body. She informed me that she already had one and didn't need another. Jianna, you are funny.
AND WAY TOO CUTE!

Ji, seriously??? You just make everything look good.

one of my favorites from the shoot...

and of course we had to get one here! the lighting was just too perfect to pass up.

hilarious{ness}

Hilarious{ness}.

Recently, I went on a walk with a friend. Love walks. Love friends. I really don't know why she thought I wouldn't bring my camera and make her pose against odd buildings and in front of odd things. It seems to me that she would know by now that I must bring my camera. What if something happens???? and I miss it!!???  I am sorry, Savannah, but I just couldn't bear it.

I think at this point in our walk I told her to lean up against this building and she said "seriously?" Again, this is no joking matter Savannah! I told her to smile and she gave me a dirty look like "why do I go on walks with you, camera girl?" At this point in time, I tell her she should smile like she means it. She thought I was pretty funny. I am #1 when it comes to hilariousness.

4 + {GIVE}

There is no way that I can describe how much I enjoy people-I just love them, I really do. I was thrilled when I was given the opportunity to create a video on forgiveness for our new sermon series. There are a lot of things that I could say about forgiveness, but these people speak the truth. ENJOY!

1 for {YOU}

I look forward to working with brides, couples, moms and dads, families, siblings, newborns- you name it! I just really enjoy people, I mean REALLY. There is nothing like getting to know someone and being able to show that in a photo (or a series of photos).

My sisters became the love of my camera pretty early on. I will never forget the day when my mom bought a digital camera (that stored images on a floppy disc!). My mom and I were best friends already, but I think that pretty much sealed the deal. When I was in 6th grade I remember having Jenna lay down on the bathroom floor so I could take pictures of her. I would have to say that creativity never dies, but my techniques have improved since then :)

Recently I took pictures of my lovely sisters. During our time together, we stumbled across this adorable house that was just great for those pictures! I had them all lay down and do their thing, and let me tell you-they know how to work it. Jianna, the youngest of us four was really concerned that she didn't have a laying down picture (because I didn't post it on my blog). I assured my mom that I in fact did have a picture of her laying down and my mom thought that would make Jianna a very happy girl. So Jianna, this one is for you. Much love girl!

P.S. You make all the hearts out there smile. Happy Friday!
