what we share

Thanks be to God, for He is the Creator of all things good!
For nothing good comes from man.

"For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out." Romans 7:18

My heart longs to know Him more. I want to think of Him as He thinks of me.
"How precious to me are your thoughts,God! How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand—
when I awake, I am still with you." Psalm 139:17-18

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:28-34

During our visit to El Salvador, I was reminded about how much I have. Not because of what the Salvadorians don't have, but because of what we share. We share an inheritance (John 14:1-4)! The Great God has sent His son to give us eternal life and life to the fullest. May we praise Him in all tongues and may the nations bow their knee only to the Lord, God. He is mighty to save and He is faithful. I, daughter of the King, live for the King of kings.

God, may we go with the fullness of you, bearing light to all who would see! May our prayers be a sweet aroma to you, Oh God.
